I was delighted to have been asked to meet with Michael Begley, Managing Director of venuedirectory.com at their UK head office in Bournemouth, Dorset.
Founded in 1993, venuedirectory.com is a UK based private held interactive directory website built upon an in-house owned CMS that provides information about conferencing, meeting, exhibition, symposium and congress venues located all over the world.
In 2008 venuedirectory.com entered the Software-as-a-service market with the release of GRATIS (Global Reservation Accommodation & Travel Information System). GRATIS combines up-to-date venue information, supplied from the venuedirectory.com central database, with brand new booking software. The software allows users to search, enquire, book, track, report and manage enquiries for meeting and conference venues.
venuedirectory.com developed The GRATIS system which has, until now, predominantly focused on corporate event planners. The purpose for our meeting was to explore opportunities to adapt and develop GRATIS, in order to meet the requirements of other third parties handling event enquiries and requests for proposals.
System functionality aside, I was reassured to discover that core values and priorities of venuedirectory.com are centered around customer service and customer satisfaction, as well as long term sustainable growth.
I am therefore thrilled to announce that venuedirectory.com have engaged with Pincus Solutions Limited, with the view to move forward on a project investigating the options and full potential for GRATIS.
The key values and priorities of venuedirectory.com have instilled the faith and confidence in me to know this will be an exciting and long term partnership.
When asked about the project, Michael Begley said, “we are delighted to be working with Chris and she will be a welcome addition to our expanding team. The experience and professionalism that she brings will be beneficial to our business and most importantly our customers. I am looking forward to working with Chris on some exciting new projects that will build on the success we have already enjoyed.”
